Project Overview

This expansive outdoor living project in Centreville, Maryland was designed to make the most of the property’s size and setting while creating defined spaces for relaxing, entertaining, and everyday use. The backyard had plenty of room, but it needed structure, durable surfaces, and better flow to feel complete.

Multiple paver patios and connecting walkways were installed to tie the home, pool area, and gathering spaces together into one cohesive layout. A darker contrasting border was carried throughout the design to frame curves, outline transitions, and clearly separate each zone. The paver pool deck was finished with rounded coping to improve comfort and give the pool area a clean, finished edge.

A circular fire pit serves as a natural focal point for the main gathering area, while curved seat walls provide built in seating without crowding the patio with furniture. Masonry steps manage elevation changes and allow for easy movement between different levels of the yard. Low voltage landscape lighting was added throughout to improve safety and highlight the hardscape after dark.

Careful base preparation and grading were completed across the entire project to support proper drainage and long term performance. The finished space feels open, balanced, and designed for real use, whether it’s a quiet evening outside or a larger gathering with friends and family.
