Project Overview
This project in Centreville, Maryland focused on replacing the existing concrete and worn surfaces around the pool and rear of the home with a more comfortable, cohesive paver patio. The goal was to create usable outdoor space for seating, dining, and poolside lounging while improving the overall look and flow of the backyard.
A large paver patio was installed around the pool and extended toward the home to form clearly defined zones for furniture and foot traffic. The blended gray pavers provide a clean, timeless look that works well with the home’s exterior, while the darker border adds contrast and helps visually separate the patio from surrounding areas. The layout allows for easy movement between seating areas, pool access, and entry points without feeling crowded.
Special attention was given to transitions at doors and along the pool edge to keep everything comfortable underfoot and visually consistent. Proper base preparation and grading were completed throughout the project to ensure drainage away from the home and long-term performance. The finished space feels open, practical, and well suited for everyday use as well as hosting family and friends.
