Project Overview
Tony and Cathy approached Keystone Pavers looking to upgrade their backyard into a refined, low-maintenance outdoor retreat where they could entertain guests or simply unwind in comfort. With a vision for elegance and relaxation, we designed and built a complete outdoor living space featuring natural stone elements, ambient lighting, a water feature, and a pergola with integrated functionality.
Hardscape Details
The foundation of this luxurious outdoor space is a Marmiro Travertine patio in the ‘Takoma Silver’ color, laid in a French pattern for added visual interest. The timeless beauty of travertine complements the home and natural surroundings while offering durability and a slip-resistant surface.
The seating and garden wall areas were finished with a Marmiro Travertine veneer in the same Takoma Silver color for seamless design continuity. We topped the walls and steps with natural brownstone caps, adding warmth and contrast.

- Custom Linear Fire Pit: A sleek, modern fire feature creates a stunning focal point and a cozy atmosphere for evening relaxation.
- 12x14 Vinyl Pergola: Freestanding and equipped with a ceiling fan, this pergola provides shade, airflow, and a defined outdoor living space perfect for lounging or dining.
- Water Feature: Three basalt columns form a striking water feature with a recirculating basin, bringing the soothing sound of moving water to the space and elevating the ambiance.
Lighting Design
Lighting played a major role in this transformation. We installed In-Lite LED lighting, including:

- Ledge lights installed in wall caps for subtle, downward illumination
- Mini Scope spotlights to highlight plantings and architectural elements
- Fusion recessed lights to provide soft, integrated ground lighting throughout the space
These fixtures not only add beauty and depth but also improve visibility and safety after dark.
The Results
The finished space reflects a balance of comfort, sophistication, and functionality. With carefully selected materials, thoughtful design, and precise craftsmanship, this Millsboro backyard has been transformed into a year-round outdoor sanctuary.
