Project Overview

This expansive outdoor living project in Chester, Maryland was designed to take full advantage of the waterfront setting while creating clearly defined spaces for relaxing, entertaining, and everyday use. The property already had a strong natural backdrop, but it needed durable surfaces, better flow, and intentional gathering areas to bring everything together.

Multiple paver patios and walkways were installed to connect the home, pool, fire pit, and waterfront views into one cohesive layout. A darker contrasting border was carried throughout the design to frame curves, outline transitions, and visually separate each space. The paver pool deck was finished with rounded coping to improve comfort and give the pool area a smooth, finished edge.

A circular fire pit anchors the main gathering area and provides a natural focal point overlooking the water. Curved seat walls offer built in seating without cluttering the patio with furniture, while masonry steps manage elevation changes and allow for easy movement between levels. Low voltage lighting was added throughout the space to improve safety and highlight the hardscape after dark.

Careful base preparation and grading were completed across the entire project to ensure proper drainage and long term performance, which is especially important for a property this close to the water. The finished result is a well balanced outdoor space that feels open, comfortable, and designed for real use in every season.
